Renowned for its months-long episodes of fog, steep rolling hills, and eclectic mix of architectural styles, San Francisco is the second most densely populated city in the United States after New York and has one of the highest costs of living in the country. On any given weekday, the city streets are jammed with traffic and the sidewalks are bustling with business men and women moving from one building to the next in the Financial District, while the picturesque scenery of Golden Gate Park draws thousands of families out to take a stroll in nature within the confines of the same city on any given weekend. San Francisco offers a charming dichotomy of man’s innovation and nature’s beauty. It can be hectic and fast-paced or quaint and charming, depending on your perspective. Most people who live there never choose to leave and would tell you it is actually a pretty small town atmosphere disguised as a big city to those on the outside. For the people who do move out of San Francisco, it is often never far from their minds, as they see a particular red sunset or feel a chill in the air in the early morning. There are thousands of visitors to San Francisco each year, both for tourism and those who travel there often for business. Even as the grey skies or rainy weather may delay flights into the city, most will tell you, if you ask, that the trip will be worth the wait, which is why they keep coming back. Or maybe you will find someone who only visited "The City" once, but chances are they will still look at this photography and feel a bit homesick...
